JAMB 2019 RESULTS; SEE CANDIDATES WITH HIGHEST SCORES

Following the Official announcement of the 2019 Unified Tertiary Matriculation examination (UTME) results by the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board, JAMB, the details and the identities of the highest scorers in the examination has been revealed. The names of the candidates were made known by JAMB Registrar, Prof. Is-haq Oloyade.

As disclosed by the JAMB Registrar, Prof. Is-haq Oloyade, the highest score was from, 15 year old EKENE FRANKLIN from Abia state with UTME score of 347. The JAMB Registrar, Prof. Is-haq Oloyade however stated that the young boy will not be admitted by his school of choice, UNILAG due to the fact that he is not up to the required 16 years of age.
The 2nd highest score was from 16 year old IGBAN EMMANUEL CHIDIEBUBE, also from Abia State with UTME Score of 346 while 17 year old OLUWO ISAAC OLAMILEKAN OLEYODE from Osun State came 3rd with UTME of 345.
Oloyode however did not reveal the intended courses of the best performing.

JAMB MAY CANCEL HALF OF 2019 UTME RESULTS IN SOME STATES

There are strong indications that the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board many cancel half of the results of candidates that took the 2019 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination in some states. This was revealed to newsmen by a senior official of JAMB who does not want his name to be mentioned. The official expressed disgust over massive level of exam malpractice he said was recorded in the 2019 UTME. According to the source, while all parts of the country were involved, the situation seems worst in certain states with what he described as” fearless display of fraudulent tactics by some individuals including parents and centre owners”. He said Nigerians will be shocked if they are allowed to view the recording of the CCTV Cameras from about 700 centres used during the examination. JAMB Denies Parents Right To Make Changes To Candidates’ Profiles As From 2020 UTME Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has stated that parents, guardians and other proxies of candidates have been barred henceforth from making changes to the data page or profile of candidates for the 2020 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examinations (UTME). According to the board, only candidates could henceforth make such changes in their data page or profile. This development was contained in a letter by its Director of Test Administration Department, on behalf of the Registrar, Prof Ishaq Oloyede. Admission 2019: Jamb gives latest update on cut off mark – The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board says it has not published the national and general minimum cut-off marks of Admission 2019 of candidates into the nation’s tertiary institutions as being speculated in some quarters. The board’s Head, Media and Information, Dr Fabian Benjamin, disclosed this in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria, on Wednesday in Lagos. According to him, there is no truth behind such speculations, adding that some persons, whom he described as fraudulent elements were behind the development with a ploy to defraud innocent Nigerians especially the candidates.
