2019 JAMB RESULT IS OUT!!!


2019 JAMB RESULT IS OUT: 1,792,719 RELEASED, 49,265 WITHHELD


The Joint Admission and matriculation Board, JAMB has released the UTME results of 1792,719 candidates who sat for the 2019 Unified tertiary Matriculation examination (UTME) . Some 34,120 results are being withheld including the results of 15,145 candidates being further clarified as identical twins and siblings.
JAMB Registrar, Prof. Is-haq Oloyede made this known to news reporters on Saturday in Abuja, the nation’s capital.
Many candidates have checked and received their results using the method below.


How To Check 2019 JAMB UTME Result Via SMS/TEXT
1.   Get a phone with the number you used to register
2.   Open text message, and send an SMS with the word “RESULT” in capital letters to 55019.
3.   You will get a response with your 2019 JAMB Results.

Those who were ABSENT, got their Registration CANCELLED or have their results WITHGELD will be told
Responses To expect after Sending RESULT to 55019
1.   If a candidate uses a phone number that was not used to register, a  message will be sent to him/her thus: “This phone number was not used for registration”.
2.   A candidate with a result will receive the message: “Dear MR/Miss X, your result is as follows (and the details will be provided)
3.   If a result is withheld, a “Result Withheld” message will be sent to the candidates.
4.   If a candidates belongs to the category being given the benefit of the doubt, the message to the person will be ”Result withheld pending the upload of clarification/document required from you”.
5.   If a candidate was absent, He/she will get “CANDIDATE ABSENT”. As feedback.
6.   A candidate that was ABSENT WITH REGISTRATION NUMBER also CANCELLED will be so informed.
7.   “Invalid Entrance into the exam Hall” will be sent to the candidate who gained unauthorized access to the examination hall.

JAMB MAY CANCEL HALF OF 2019 UTME RESULTS IN SOME STATES

There are strong indications that the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board many cancel half of the results of candidates that took the 2019 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination in some states. This was revealed to newsmen by a senior official of JAMB who does not want his name to be mentioned. The official expressed disgust over massive level of exam malpractice he said was recorded in the 2019 UTME. According to the source, while all parts of the country were involved, the situation seems worst in certain states with what he described as” fearless display of fraudulent tactics by some individuals including parents and centre owners”. JAMB Denies Parents Right To Make Changes To Candidates’ Profiles As From 2020 UTME Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has stated that parents, guardians and other proxies of candidates have been barred henceforth from making changes to the data page or profile of candidates for the 2020 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examinations (UTME). According to the board, only candidates could henceforth make such changes in their data page or profile. This development was contained in a letter by its Director of Test Administration Department, on behalf of the Registrar, Prof Ishaq Oloyede. Admission 2019: Jamb gives latest update on cut off mark – The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board says it has not published the national and general minimum cut-off marks of Admission 2019 of candidates into the nation’s tertiary institutions as being speculated in some quarters. The board’s Head, Media and Information, Dr Fabian Benjamin, disclosed this in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria, on Wednesday in Lagos. According to him, there is no truth behind such speculations, adding that some persons, whom he described as fraudulent elements were behind the development with a ploy to defraud innocent Nigerians especially the candidates.
