ABSU APTITUDE TEST

GreatMind Media Publication is pleased to inform All candidates who selected Abia State University as their First or Second choice,those who intend to change to ABSU as their First choice and those who did not use ABSU as their choice at all but want to be admitted into the University, who scored up to the University cut-off of 150 and above in the 2018 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME), are hereby invited to register for Aptitude Test exercise. All Direct Entry candidates are also invited for the Aptitude Test.
The Registration forms for the Aptitude Test are available on-line from Thursday 5thJuly, 2018.
METHOD OF APPLICATION
 Eligible candidates should Log on to the ABSU portal (abiastateuniversity.edu.ng) and generate an invoice.
Proceed to any branch of our designated Banks listed below and pay N2,000.00 only.
ABSU Microfinance Bank; Sky Bank Plc;
Zenith Bank Plc; First Bank Plc;  Ecobank Plc,
Fidelity Bank Plc; Union Bank Plc; UBA Plc.
Get back to the ABSU portal (abiastateuniversity.edu.ng) and click on Applicant.
Select ABSU Aptitude Test
Complete the Application Form, ensure you upload a clear passport photograph to avoid rejection of candidate and download a copy as an evidence of registration.
CLOSING DATE:
The closing date for the registration of the Aptitude Test is Friday, 27th July, 2018.

Jamb Begins Change Of Course, Institution & Data Correction For 2018 Aspirants

This is to inform all 2018 JAMB candidates that JAMB has opened the portal for the change of course and institutions as well as data correction
So all candidates who wishes to effect changes on either their course, institution or their bio-data details can proceed to do so at the closest Jamb CBT accredited center.
You can also correct your bio-data which include your name, date of birth, gender, state and Local Government of origin.



WHAT YOU SHOULD KNOW ABOUT JAMB 2018 CHANGE OF COURSE/INSTITUTION & DATA CORRECTION.

v  You are required to verify the usual cut-off mark for your school of choice to make sure they do not have a very high cut-off mark.
v  You can change all the courses and institutions at the same time if you want.
v  Once you make changes and submit. You cannot change again. So always go through your selections and ensure it is what you want before submitting.
v  Ensure that the course you are changing to is in line with your UTME subject combination. If you select a course that is not in line with your subject combination, you will be disqualified from admission. Please use the OnlineJAMB brochure to verify.
v  Also ensure that the course you are changing to is available in your institution of choice. You can equally use the JAMB Brochure to verify that.
v  There may be a limited number of schools or courses you can change to, so be sure to have 3 to 4 options, just in case the one you want to change to is not available.
v  The change of course and institution will attract 2,500. (the accredited centre that will help you with the change will likely charge an extra fee).
v  Only approved of JAMB CBT centres are allowed to make these changes.
v  Payment can be done via Remita before proceeding to the centres.


NOTE: You Must pay with JAMB account created on JAMB Portal. Paying via another account will render your required service tied to the paying account.


PROCEDURES:
Step 1- Log into your jamb profile
Step 2- open the menu tab on your jamb profile
Step 3- Click Register, under register a drop box will appear showing UTME correction of data.
Step 4- Click it and follow the steps to pay either online or bank.
You can make your payment online via JAMB portal. If you are having difficulties doing that, you can pay to the bank.
After paying N2,500 at the bank plus additional N100 naira, proceed to either the closest JAMB office or a JAMB accredited center to complete the process. An additional fee will be charged for the service.

JAMB MAY CANCEL HALF OF 2019 UTME RESULTS IN SOME STATES

There are strong indications that the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board many cancel half of the results of candidates that took the 2019 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination in some states. This was revealed to newsmen by a senior official of JAMB who does not want his name to be mentioned. The official expressed disgust over massive level of exam malpractice he said was recorded in the 2019 UTME. JAMB Denies Parents Right To Make Changes To Candidates’ Profiles As From 2020 UTME Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has stated that parents, guardians and other proxies of candidates have been barred henceforth from making changes to the data page or profile of candidates for the 2020 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examinations (UTME). According to the board, only candidates could henceforth make such changes in their data page or profile. This development was contained in a letter by its Director of Test Administration Department, on behalf of the Registrar, Prof Ishaq Oloyede. The letter reads: “It has been observed that there are cases of conflict on authorisation of changes on candidates’ data, majorly between candidates and their parents or guardians. ABSU 2019/2020 POST UTME REGISTRATIONS STARTS

Admission 2019: Jamb gives latest update on cut off mark – The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board says it has not published the national and general minimum cut-off marks of Admission 2019 of candidates into the nation’s tertiary institutions as being speculated in some quarters. The board’s Head, Media and Information, Dr Fabian Benjamin, disclosed this in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria, on Wednesday in Lagos.
