2019 UTME RESULTS: JAMB GIVES OFFICIAL UPDATE


Many candidates who have taken the ongoing JAMB has been unable to check their results in views of this, the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board, JAMB has released an official updates concerning the release of the 2019 UTME results.

This update was given by the board’s Head of Media and Publicity to newsmen on Tuesday in Bwari.
According to him, no results of JAMB has been released so far because the board s still screening the results as the examination was ongoing and also because a lot fraudulent activities were identified in the process.
“We have to keep screening these results because there are lots of issues we discovered like multiple registrations, impersonation and the likes, so we are still fishing them out.
“Some have been arrested and t hose yet to be arrested, we have their records, we will fish them out.
However, candidates should expect their results very soon.” Benjamin said.
Benjamin said the process of the examination has so far been successful, adding that board was addressing some of the challenges that came up during the exercise like the issues of biometric verification.
He added that the board’s suspension of some Computer Based Test centres nationwide has not affected the candidates as adequate examination centres were provided to all who registered for the examination.

There are strong indications that the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board many cancel half of the results of candidates that took the 2019 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination in some states. This was revealed to newsmen by a senior official of JAMB who does not want his name to be mentioned. The official expressed disgust over massive level of exam malpractice he said was recorded in the 2019 UTME. JAMB Denies Parents Right To Make Changes To Candidates’ Profiles As From 2020 UTME Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has stated that parents, guardians and other proxies of candidates have been barred henceforth from making changes to the data page or profile of candidates for the 2020 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examinations (UTME). According to the board, only candidates could henceforth make such changes in their data page or profile. This development was contained in a letter by its Director of Test Administration Department, on behalf of the Registrar, Prof Ishaq Oloyede. Admission 2019: Jamb gives latest update on cut off mark – The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board says it has not published the national and general minimum cut-off marks of Admission 2019 of candidates into the nation’s tertiary institutions as being speculated in some quarters.
